I have fallen violently in love with Enigma--such an interesting and complex flavor. I wish I could get it in Minnesota! Luckily, it's only a 30 minute drive to get across the border to bring some back.

We were up for a Jimmy Buffett concert an da friend wanted us to bring some Fat Squirrel for him. I thought he was nuts but I brought him back a couple of cases and I brought back a 12 of Spotted Cow for myself and i had to ask the grocery store if it could be had here in Omaha Ne. Sadly NO. But, since we are joining the BIG 10, I will get another chance to purchase some more of the "good stuff". I really loved the flavor and can't wait to get my hands on some more.

I go camping at the local state park in New Glarus and try to being some beer home on those camping trips. Most recently I brought home some Dancing Man and Fat Squirrel. Both excellent.

I had my son bring me two cases of your beer to our 50th wedding anniversary party. I hid one six pack, and glad I did. That is all I got. They took to your quality brews like ducks to water. When I lived in Freeport, I would either get my beer from the brewery, or Brennans in Monroe. We have been here 10 years now, and I sure do miss a quality beer. Wish we could ship it to Arkansas. Will see you in September.

Introduced to Spotted Cow in Door County on July 5th. Sad we didn't find a store to buy some before we came home to Indiana. Our Village Bottle shop says it can't be sold out of the state of Wisconsin! So I see many road trips ahead. Thank goodness my sister lives in Wisconsin. In fact we will be coming to town on the 9 or 10th of August!
Will definately be in the tasting room!

While visiting Wisconsin, I had the opportunity to try your Stone Soup, Fat Squirrel, and Spotted Cow beers. These were great beers. I am from Alabama and would love to be able purchase them on a regular basis. Please distribute these fine beers to the South!!!!!

Thank you all for such wonderful comments! It is great to hear from you! And Andy; Yokel unfortunately did not make it onto this year's brewing schedule. However, if you would like to see Yokel (or any of your other favorite New Glarus brews) return next year, be sure to check back with us in the fall! That is when we will be having the vote for next year's line up, where we allow our fans to determine which beers we brew for them (just as we have the past few years)!
As for the story behind Dancing Man, I asked Deborah (as she is the originator of all of our names and logos), and here is her reply;
I had originally considered using the Dancing man drawing as our brewery logo. It was a toss up between the Horse and Wagon and the Dancing Man. Obviously, I went with the Horse and Wagon. But we made some Dancing Man t-shirts, and we have been using it for the New Glarus Oktoberfest for some years. In the mean time, Dan has this authentically Bavarian bottle fermented wheat beer. Other brewers started using our trademarked Solstice name, and I was not feeling like fighting anyone over it, so I thought "Hey, what is more Bavarian then our happy "Dancing Man". And so that is what I did.
I hope that helps clear up the mystery of Dancing Man, and that you continue to enjoy!
And we hope to hear from you all again in the fall! Cheers!!
